Gymnastics

This term, the children have been exploring shape and balance through the use of our apparatus. They explored it by climbing through the different spaces the apparatus created and used their balance skills to walk across smaller surfaces.

The children also moved between each piece of apparatus by wiggling like a worm to help build their core strength.

The children explored the space around them by creating letters and short words using their bodies.

Orienteering

The children have been learning to negotiate the space around them and develop map reading skills to help them travel around different areas.

KS1 have learnt that once the map is correctly positioned, they move their bodies around it to navigate around the space.

The children learnt to map read around different cones and learnt how to use a code on a map to help them while navigating.
