In term 4, children in UKS2 learnt about World War 2. To start, children looked at the timeline of events in World War 2 and the two major groups; the Allies and Axis. They looked at significant people in these groups and the impact they had on the war.  To bring learning to life, they had a practise air raid siren during their learning of the Blitz and looked through an evacuees suitcase to discover what life was like for children in the war. To finish their learning experience, they visited Dover Castle to learn about the role Kent played during World War 2.
