Thursday 20th April  Girls cup semi-final - Aylesford (h) L 0-4

The girls team were up against a very strong Aylesford team in the Maidstone cup semi-final.  Aylesford were the better team throughout the first half and took their chances in front of goal.  There was no lack of effort from Team Greenfields but the half time score of 4-0 to Aylesford was fair.  Team Greenfields worked really hard in the second half and defended brilliantly and could definitely have pulled a least a goal back.  The second half was well balanced and we were proud to not concede any more goals.  Player of the match - Leah-Grace or making some excellent saves in goal.

Wednesday 3rd May Girls football league match - Tiger (a) W 5-1 The girls travelled to tiger for their final league fixture of the season.  Team Greenfields made a great start and played some excellent football.  2 well taken goals from Doris resulted in the half time score being Tiger 0-2 Greenfields.  The second half started well for both teams with some great football being played.  Tiger scored a fantastic goal from outside of the area to make the score 1-2 with only 7 minutes left.  Team Greenfields then stepped it up and Doris quickly completed her hat trick.  This was followed up with goals from Darcie and Ivy-Mae to make the final score Tiger 1-5 Greenfields.  Player of the match - Doris for an excellent performance in midfield.
Monday 15th May Netball cup final - Trottiscliffe (h) L 0-17 Unfortunately we had to field an under strength team as 5 of our players were not available.  The players that steped in played really well, but it was a tough ask in a cup final against an excellent Trottiscliffe team!  After the first quarter it was 11-0 to Trottiscliffe.  As the match developed Team Greenfields found their feet and were proud to be the Maidstone cup runners-up!
Wednesday 17th May  Netball league match - Boughton Monchelsea (a) L 5-6 We still had 5 players missing as we travelled to Boughton Monchelsea for our final league match of the season.  We knew that a win would give us a chance to qualify for finals day as the best placed runner-up.  Sadly it wasn't to be but the players that stepped in played really well!  Boughton Monchelsea scored with the last shot of the game to win 6-5 ending Greenfields hopes of appearing in finals day for the second year running.
Thursday 18th May LKS2 Kent-Teach rounders  7th As our LKS2 children were out on a trip, we had some year 2 children step up to represent Greenfields at this event! Having played very little rounders before, the children applied all their skills from their recent striking and fielding lessons to help them play some great rounders. The children played really hard and had some great matches against other schools, but unfortunately did not finish in the top four to take points.
Thursday 18th May  UKS2 Kent-Teach rounders 3rd in the group Our UKS2 children took part in the rounders tournament. The children played really well and showed off their amazing fielding skills. A special mention to Tommy who regularly showed us his brilliant batting skills but launching the ball far into the distance. Unfortunately, the children did not progress out of the group stages, but they all played really well and had a great time competing.
