At Greenfields, we offer the children lots of opportunities to engage in a wide variety of different sports and have outside companies and volunteers visit the school to run wonderful enrichment days and festivals.
Cross-Curricular Orienteering
On Tuesday 17th January, we had a cross-curricular orienteering course built on our school grounds to help engage the children in a more physical lifestyle, while still be able to develop their learning across all other subjects.
We had a fabulous launch day where the children received a taster session into what they can expect to learn in orienteering lessons. They learnt how to set and read a basic map and years 5 and 6 moved onto a navigating their way around a small orienteering course.
Look at this video and photos to see some of the children in action on our orienteering day!
Table Cricket
On Wednesday 18th January, a member of Kent Cricket came to visit Greenfields to run a Table Cricket festival for some children in KS2. This was a really exciting opportunity as it gave the children the chance to play a new variation on a much loved sport at the school.
Check out the videos and photos below of what the children got up to.
