Look at the different ways children from Year 3 and 4 have presented their understanding of some the key stories that are important to Christians:

What have the children got to say about their learning this term?

Can you tell me something about your learning in RE this term?

We have been learning about God making the world. 

He made the world in six days and then rested on the 7th!

We have been learning about how Jesus was put on the cross.

He is called God, Son and the Holy Spirit.

We have been finding out about Jesus helping people to be nice. 


Are there any new words that you have learned in RE?

Old Testament is the part of the Bible about God and Adam and Eve and the Garden of Eden.

New Testament is about Jesus and what he did.

The Serpent tricked Adam and Eve. 

Creation is how God made the World. 


Have you been surprised by anything you have learnt?

The Serpent had legs and was talking!

Christians believe God made the Earth.

God created Adam, Eve and the world.

The Bible has been translated in 5011 languages!

There are 27 books in the New Testament and 39 in the Old Testament.


Could you explain some of your key vocabulary?

The Fall...God told the humans not to eat the fruit, but they did because of the Serpent and so God kicked them out of Eden. 

Testament...The New and Old Testament are the two parts of the Bible.
