We had a great start to the cross country season with some brilliant runs by children across the school at the Maidstone Schools Cross Country. The competition runs over 3 weeks culminating in individual and team medals. Saturday 22nd September | Girls football Kent event | Our Team became the Maidstone Primary School team for this district Year 6 event. Our team had 1 year 4, 3 year 5 and 4 year 6 children and they all played out of the skins! Well done to all our amazing players for stepping up, at the last minute, to this level and holding their own. | |
Tuesday 25th September | Girls football friendly match away to Kemsley | W 6-1 | This match was early in the year so that both teams could play lots of the new players to give them a taste of what a game is like. The game was be played in four 15 minutes sections. Well done to all of the children involved from both teams |
Tuesday 2nd October | Maidstone Football Competition | 4th in group | The team played brilliantly and only let in two goals in the whole tournament (7 games). Well done to our young team who played with real determination! |
Monday 8th October | Maidstone Girls Football Competition | 3rd in group | The girls played brilliantly and missed out on the semi-final on goal difference. A last minute own goal in the final game was the only one conceded. Sadly, this dropped us to 3rd in our group. Well done to the team, you did us all proud! |
Thursday 11th October | Change 4 Life festival | A brilliant morning for those children who don't often participate in school sport, to gain confidence and try out a variety of different sports. Quote from James "I was nervous to start with as I've not tried sport before, but today felt like I'd played a proper game of football and I was really good at it!" | |
Thursday 11th October | Kent Teach Games - KS1 multi-skills | 1st | Our KS1 multi skills team have practiced really hard and deserve their first place today. Well done to everybody who took part in the multi skills, Maidstone primary schools KS1 were an excellent example of teamwork and aspiration, we are proud of all of you. |

Fantastic results from #Team Greenfields in the Kent Teach hockey today. Our children have worked really hard in hockey club and during extra practice at lunchtimes to refine their hockey skills. This was rewarded with our fantastic results in what was a closely contested competition, particularly in LKS2. |
Friday 19th October | Maidstone Schools Cross Country Series results |
Over a period of three weeks, children from all the schools in Maidstone were invited to participate in a series of mile long cross country races with approximately 140 participants in each race.
