Friday 8th OctoberStaff v children football match

Children 2

Staff 5

The children quickly raced into a 2-0 lead and played some excellent football.  The staff scored a very lucky goal as Mr Andrews cleared from his own half only for it to luckily spin into the goal.  A further goal by Mr Minton resulted in the staff going in at half time VERY lucky to be level at 2-2.  The children continued to be the better team in the second half and nobody really knows how the staff went on to win the game!  Player of the match was given to Oliver C who had an excellent game in defense.
Monday 11th OctoberMaidstone Utd football tournament

LKS2 - 5th

UKS2 - 9th

It was great to be back out on the sports field with other schools!  The results seemed less important than the feeling of 'normality'.  Both teams represented the school brilliantly with the UKS2 team missing out on the quarter finals and the LKS2 team missing the semi-finals on goal difference.  Well done to everyone who took part.

LKS2

Kent-Teach football tournament

3rd and 6thWe were proud to host the first Kent-Teach Games event of the academic year.  The children represented the school brilliantly.  We were really proud of both teams with Greenfields Black finishing 3rd with 3 wins out of 4.  Thank you to all the schools who joined us for the day.

UKS2

Kent-Teach football tournament

4th The UKS2 football team played some brilliant football in their group and progressed unbeaten into the semi-finals.  Sadly, they lost to eventual winners Roseacre 2-0 so moved to the 3rd/4th place play off against Parkway.  The game was full off excellent football by both teams and the game finished 0-0.  After a nervy 5 minute golden goal extra time, the game went to a dreaded penalty shoot out which Parkway won.  Although disappointed, the team were a real credit to the school!  Well done to all the teams.
