They had to plan future sporting events at Greenfields and plan, organise and deliver a sporting event for another school! Look out for them at future sporting events at Greenfields.
Tuesday 6th November Year 3/4 Sportshall Athletics Championships 1st

We are so proud of our team of 25 children from Year 3 and 4 who took part in this tough competition today. The children had to compete in both track and field events and their practice at playtimes has paid off! We won this event for the first time after coming second for the past three years!!

This means we qualify for the Kent County Finals next year!!

Thursday 8th November Mid Kent Boccia Competition 2nd and 3rd 16 children from KS2 took part in the Mid Kent Boccia Competition. The children played in 4 different categories and played some brilliant Boccia, with 2 of our teams qualifying for the county finals next March. Our team from year 6 had the best results of the day, winning 6 out of their 8 matches.

We played some incredible football today with a real team spirit shown by both of our teams. The first team played all tournament without conceding a goal and scored some terrific goals, while the second team played superbly for their 5th place, with Pacer and Suzie coming in for particular praise. Special mention must go to Riley who scored his first goal for Greenfields! We are so proud of everyone who played and their brilliant footballing talent!
Tuesday 27th November Maidstone Schools Year 5/6 Sportshall Athletics Competition 2nd Our best ever result in this competition to date in what is probably the strongest contested athletics competition amongst Maidstone Primary Schools. Kent Teach Games -

KS2 Football

4th Our young team played some brilliant football to top a very difficult group stage. We then had a nerve-shredding quarter final penalty shoot-out, where Finlay was unbelievable in making sure we progressed to the semi-finals. Unfortunately, we came up against a very good Allington side and narrowly lost 1-0. Having lost Leighton to a knee injury, we battled hard in the 3rd/4th place play-off but were unable to match our earlier form and lost 1-0 to Brunswick House. We are really proud of our team, many of whom were up against children at least a year older than them! We'll be back next year!

Friday 30th

November

Kent Teach Games -

KS2 Girls Football

1st + 4th Both of our teams played some amazing football! There were 15 teams so to finish 1st and 4th is a real achievement.  With such football talent we should be in a strong position for the next few years!  Well done to Greenfields Green who went all day unbeaten without conceding a goal, who won the final 1-0 against West borough.  Greenfields Grey were brilliant and qualified from their group playing some excellent football.  They then progress into the semi-finals after a penalty shoot out win against St John's in the quarter-final.  Maisie was brilliant in goal and made the save that won the match.  Well done to all of our players!
