Wednesday 30th October | Change 4 Life Festival |
We had a great morning at the Change 4 Life Festival. The children learnt about healthy eating and keeping active. We played games such as fruit salad, jumping jedi and word search. Sophia also made a great attempt at balancing the basketball on her finger! |

Thursday 31st October | Girls football friendly away to Loose | W 14-0 | What a fantastic performance against a very good Loose side. The girls played AMAZING football from the first minute to the last! The goals were scored by Kelsi (6), Eliza (3), India (2), Nicole, Hannah and OG. A special mention to Maisie who spent long periods of the game out of the action but made a tremendous save in the second half when she was needed! |
Friday 1st November | Sports Crew Training | Today we took our new set of excited Sports Leaders for training at Aylesford School. They began to work together brilliantly as a team and thought in great detail about their role and what it involves. They practised leading lots of different playground activities and thought about scoring, fair play and involving everyone. The morning finished with them planning, creating and then presenting their own playground game. | |
Tuesday 5th November | Girls football league matches v Hunton (home) |

The girls team played two league fixtures after school and played some superb football. They played a brilliant passing game and supported each other brilliantly! - In the first match the goals were scored by Kelsi (4), Leah-May (2), Eliza and Nicole. - In the second match the goals were scored by India (5), Kelsi (4), Eliza (2), Leah-May (2) and Kendra. |
Wednesday 13th November | Girls football league match away to Tiger Primary | W 23-1 | Another wonderful team performance resulted in some excellent goals from all around the pitch. The hard wok on the training ground is really paying off! The goals were scored by India (2), Kelsi (6), Eliza (5), Kendra (5), Leah-May (2), OG, Kacy and Indie. |
Friday 15th November | Basketball tournament | 1st, 7th and 10th | We took 3 teams to this local competition and all players played some brilliant basketball. Our team that finished 1st played 4 group games, winning all 4, before winning their semi-final. That set up a final against a very good St Michaels team. After a tense 7 minutes the match finished 5-5. We then played a 2 minute extra time period. During this time St Michaels scored first but our team showed their resilience and won the extra time 4-2! We now move to a play-off game to see who will be the Maidstone champions. Well done to all of our 16 players! |
Monday 18th November | Kent Teach KS1 Football Tournament | 5th | Our newly assembled KS1 Football Team came out with lots of enthusiasm to play in their first tournament. 12 schools participated on the day and our team worked really well together and scored some fantastic goals. We came 5th which considering it was their first tournament was a great effort by everyone. |
Monday 18th November | Kent Teach LKS2 Tournament | 6th | Another great afternoon of Football from our LKS2 team who played some great football against strong opposition. With over 16 teams participating today, the children tried really hard and achieved 6th place overall. |
Thursday 21st November | Girls football league match v East Farleigh (home) | W 4-0 | Another excellent performance from the girls team against a strong East Farleigh side. With two players unavailable due to illness the Greenfields team looked different and gave some players extra game time. Well The new players took their chances and played some impressive football. The goals were scored by Kelsi, Leah-May and Connie (2). Well done to Layla who played her first ever match! |
Friday 22nd November | Richard Young Cup | 1st |
After a week where we had missed out on medal positions in the Kent Teach Tournaments our KS2 team played brilliantly against 4 other schools to retain The Richard Young Cup. Thankyou to Mr Young as ever for coming along on the day to present it to Greenfields. |
Saturday 23rd November | Kent County Cross Country Races | Yr 3 Boys 3rd | Some brilliant performance on a freezing cold Saturday morning at Brands Hatch, where the children competed in the Kent Primary Schools Country Cross Country Races. The course was a mile and a half long with a tough uphill finish. Everyone did really well with Oliver Jukes just missing out on a medal with 4th place in the county in the Year 3 boys race. The Year 3 boys placed 3rd overall in the team event winning some really great medals! |
Monday 2nd December | Maidstone Utd girls football tournament | 2nd | The girls played some brilliant football to win their group and qualify for the semi finals (scoring 8 without conceding). In the semi-final we beat at very good Allington team 1-0 in a really close game. In the final we lost 1-0 and did everything but score. We finished second and only let in 1 goal in the whole competition. Well done girls you did us proud!!! |
Wednesday 4th December | Paralympic Festival | 6 of our children with additional needs participated in this festival, with 4 of our leaders helping to score and run the activities. The children took part in athletics, sitting volleyball, boccia and zumba and had a brilliant day. | |
Thursday 5th December | Table Cricket | Jubilee and Parkway Schools came and participated with 16 of our children at a Table Cricket Friendly Competition morning at Greenfields. The children used their newly learnt skills to take part in matches and finished with a rapid fire version of Table Cricket! | |
