Friday 4th FebruaryGirls football friendly v More Park (s)W 3-1

The girls football team were joined by a few new players for this friendly match as we hoped to give some of our newer players the chance to experience a real match.  The game started well for Greenfields who were on the front foot.  However, if it wasn’t for some excellent saves from Darcie (making her debut) we could have fallen behind before we did take the lead with an excellent goal by Violet just before half time.  This gave the team confidence and they raced into a 3-0 lead in the second half with goals from Doris and then Devan.  With only a few minutes left Greenfields were awarded a penalty, but the More Park goal keeper made an excellent save.  In the final minute More Park scored but it didn’t take the shine off an excellent team performance. player of the match went to Devan for an excellent display in midfield.

Monday 7th FebruaryGreenfields vs Marden KS1W 9-0Our KS1 football team had their second game of the season who happened to be Marden Primary. The boys got off to a flying start and scored their first goal of the match with in a minute by a solo effort from Joe F.
