Oaks carried on battling through the second half scoring some fantastic team goals to win the match 3-1. Our netballers proved to do the same job in their match, getting the ball towards their net very quick but once again missing the target. Tuesday 22nd March | Greenfields vs Northborough (Girls Football) | L 4-2 | It was a lovely evening in the sunshine as we welcomed Northborough for our term 4 league match. The match was very even in the first half and Greenfields were unlucky to go in at half time 2 goals down. The team were full of belief at half time and soon pulled a goal back when the second half started. Layla scored with a shot from the right into the bottom left hand corner. After only 9 minutes of the second half it was 2-2! Doris broke away and slotted her shot underneath the goal keeper. From here it was all Greenfields and it looked like there would only be one winner. However, Northborough had other ideas and scored 2 late goals on the break away. A great game played in a fantastic spirit by both teams. Player of the match was Violet for a great performance in midfield. |

Friday 1st April | Staff vs Children - Netball | Our first staff vs children sports match in 2022 saw our netball squad take on the Greenfields teachers in what can only be described as a very competitive and end to end match. The first point came from Mr Andrews who then went on to score 5 more points through out the game. The children being determined against the staff showed real resilience to pull back the game. Our netball squad who recently took part in a tournament, had to change tactics through out the match to keep up with the staff. After the last quarter of the whole game their was some dubious score counting, the staff won by a single point meaning the final result was a 9-8 to the staff! Well played to all the children and staff involved in the event. From Greenfields staff, we hope you all have a lovely half term! |
