During this topic we will be combing our Science and Geography knowledge. We will begin by learning about the different seasons and the weather that can be observed in each of the different seasons. We will be investigating different weather types and using thermometers to measure temperatures. We will then learn about the United Kingdom. We will explore the countries that make up the UK and their capital cities, before focussing on our own capital city, London. We will compare living in a city to living in a rural village and make comparisons between the city and the countryside.
We will practice using maps to gain a better understanding of an area, and use it to help us locate some of London's famous landmarks. We will also experience a visit to London, using the tube and walking across the top of Tower Bridge to see which landmarks we are able to spot and help us to apply our learning.
