Phonics - finish noun phrases

Starter – Please use the following link - Buried Treasure (phonicsplay.co.uk) to practice reading graphemes in words

Activity – Remind an adult or sibling what an expanded noun phrase is (an expanded noun phrase adds more detail and description to a noun).

Things to remember –

Noun – A person, a place or an object

Adjective – a word that is used to describe a noun

Application - Today, I would like you to have a go at finishing expanded noun phrases

E.g.

The _____________ duck swan across the _______________ pond

The brown duck swam across the large pond.

Choose appropriate adjectives to fill in the gaps to create expanded noun phrases (Activity sheet attached).

 

 

 

Maths - Units of measurement

There are 100 centimetres in 1 metre. There are 50 cm in half a metre. There are 25 centimetres in a quarter of a metre. Using this information complete the table.
