Please use the following link Rocket Rescue (phonicsplay.co.uk) and choose Phase 4 to work through
Today we are going to be learning about contractions. A contraction is a shortened form of a word (or group of words). In most contractions, an apostrophe represents the missing letters.
We used lots of Jack Hartman counting videos in maths and you really enjoyed them. Therefore, today I found some contraction videos for you to listen to and join in with – can you say the contracted word before he tells you.
Please watch the video (up to 2.48 minutes ) on the class webpage and use this to help you order the units of time below. Cut the cards out and place them in order. If you are unable to print, can you write them out in the correct order.
Today we are going to be looking at a new type of non-fiction text... a newspaper report!
Open the first document to read the newspaper and then open the questions document.
