Topic - Our new topic is called Growing. This week we are going to start by look at how we grow and what we need to grow. Today we would like you to click the PowerPoint below and look what different growing stages. After you have looked at the PowerPoint, please complete the activity below.
Maths - This week in maths we are looking at 2D shapes, please watch Miss Elphick introduce 2D shapes and complete the activity below.
Phonics - Today we are going to recap what we learnt last term. For the recap part, please can you go onto phonics play, go onto flash cards and recap the phase 3 sounds we have learnt. For practise, please can you read the cvc words on the document below.
Phonics - For the apply, can you write three captions using the words from the practice part of our phonics.
Reading - Please can you click the link below to listen to the story of 'When I Grow up!'. Once you have listen to the story, can you tell you grown-up what you want to be when you are older.
Tuesday 23rd February
Topic- To continue with our new growing topic, we want you to measure how tall you and your family members are. You could do this using string or measuring tape. Once you have done this, can you draw your family members from tallest to shortest?
Maths- Look at the 2D shapes PowerPoint attached below and then have a 2D shape hunt around your home!
What objects can you find for each shape? You can list or draw the objects that you find on the document below.
Reading- Yesterday you listened to 'When I Grow Up!'. The twins were trying to find out what job they would like to have when they grow up. Can you match the names of the jobs to the pictures in the document below? Once you have completed the matching activity you can draw a picture of yourself doing the job that you would like when you grow up.
Phonics- Please watch Mrs Hanratty introduce our new diagraph 'th' and complete the activities.

Topic - Following on with our Growing topic, we are looking at what foods we need to make us grow and to be healthy. Today we would like you to create a healthy lunch box.
Maths - Continuing with 2D shapes this week, we would like you to use the document below to sort out the 2D shapes.
Phonics- Please watch Miss Elphick introduce our new diagraph 'ng' and complete the activities.
Reading- For today's reading activity, we would like you to go back onto 'Oxford Owl' and choose a pink or red level book to read.

Thursday 25th February
Topic: We are continuing with our topic of 'growing'. Draw yourself onto the body outline below and either label or write a list of which parts of us grow, for example hair and feet.
Maths: We are continuing to explore 2D shapes. Use any resources you have around the house e.g. lolly sticks, pens, pencils, straws etc. to create 2D shapes. Some examples are shown in the document below.
Phonics: Watch Mrs Webb introduce our new tricky word 'be' and then complete the activities.
Reading: In the document below there are mixed up captions and pictures. Please read the captions that contain our new 'th' and 'ng' diagraphs and then match them to the correct picture.

Phonics - Today we are going to recap what we have learnt this week in phonics. Please click the documents below and complete this activity.
Topic- For topic today, we would like you to learn and perform the 'Growing Up' song. Click on the document below to find the lyrics of the song that you can sing to the tune of 'Baa Baa Black Sheep'.
We would love to see videos of your performances. You could use any instruments you have at home too!
Maths: Using the 2D shapes that we have learnt about, make a picture of your choice. There are some examples shown in the document below.
Reading: Click on the link below and listen to 'The Growing Story'. Think about what happens in the story and which part was your favourite. Think about what is similar about this story and 'When I Grow Up'. Decide which story you prefer.
