We started the day by creating Egyptian neck collars- we looked very important wearing these!
We then gathered in the hall to discover the chronology of the Ancient Egypt timeline.
After that, we had a carousel of activities. Firstly, we learnt how to play Mehen which reminded us of Ludo. Then we had a session on artefacts whereby we learnt lots of interesting facts and finally we made bookmarks writing our names hieroglyphics. Did you know the Ancient Egyptians used the same symbol for the letter O and U?
To end the workshop, we gathered in the hall once again to witness the mummification process and the burial ceremony. After which, a new pharaoh was crowned!
