Greenfields Governors are a friendly team of parents, staff and members of the local community who challenge and support the school to deliver best outcomes for pupils. Governors and school leaders work together to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the school, monitor school performance, and ensure that the school budget is well spent.
We meet six times per year, usually on a Tuesday at 4.30pm for two hours. Governors also visit school at mutually convenient times between meetings to discuss progress towards the school’s development plan. The role of a school Governor is varied and rewarding. No prior experience or knowledge of school governance is required as free training and ongoing support are provided.
