We are currently recruiting new Governors to join our Governing Body. If you are looking for a way of getting involved and supporting Greenfields, perhaps this is the opportunity for you.
Greenfields Governors are a friendly team of parents, staff and members of the local community who challenge and support the school to deliver best outcomes for pupils. Governors and school leaders work together to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the school, monitor school performance, and ensure that the school budget is well spent.
We meet six times per year, usually on a Tuesday at 4.30pm for two hours. Governors also visit school at mutually convenient times between meetings to discuss progress towards the school’s development plan. The role of a school Governor is varied and rewarding. No prior experience or knowledge of school governance is required as free training and ongoing support are provided.
If you would like to find out more about the role, please contact the Clerk, Vanessa Stevens, at firstname.lastname@example.org or speak with the Head Teacher or a member of the Office Team who can pass your enquiry on. Thank you.
